As promised...

From the KAIST robot laboratory of Korea, the people that brought you Hubo, the humanoid robot with articulated fingers and graceful step,

who teamed up with Hanson Robotics last summer to make history in the world of robotics.

Now these two robot Geniuses have teamed up again to create a custom bi-ped humanoid walking robot, complete with human-like head, and equipped with all the cutting edge AI and facial/speech recognition.
This new creation will be modeled after the late Albert Einstein.

How is will this android be any different or an improvement on the beautiful and lifelike robots from Ishiguro's lab? Well, Ishiguro's robots are different. For one, they are pneumatically powered, they dont get up and walk around, and they don't use the lifelike "Frubber" that makes Hanson's robots so incredibly realistic.

The new Hubo/Einstein robot will be unveiled at a science and robotics conference in late November. I don't know if Einstein will be doing tai chi, however. :)
