Nov. 30th, 2006 06:28 pmI woke up this morning at 8 AM. I suppose I had three hours of sleep. Loni had Zeno in the backpack and they were on their way out.
At first I tried to play Opossum, but I realized that I really didn't want to miss anything. So I jumped up and dressed.
For breakfast, we had the buffet at our hotel. Generally, breakfast is my favorite meal, and I could eat it three times a day. Hyatt has a kick ass breakfast buffet, and I've experienced it in Hawaii, San Antonio, and Osaka (Hawaii was, hands down, the best, with it's line-up of exotic fruits such at rambutan, lichee, and the rest, but I digress). The really important part of it, for me, is the coffee. Even so, I enjoyed a mix between my glutonous piggy buffet style eat everything buffet, and their traditional Japanese fish and miso soup breakfast. It's ok, by the scale in the bathroom here I weigh 59.2 LOL.
We made our way to the train station and were faced with signs all in Japanese. Loni kept her cool and didn't panic. I knew it was ok. We muddled our way through purchasing tickets for the train and made our way downtown.
The subway let out at an old temple where we made an offering before we set out into the mayhem.
The streets were lined with Sakura trees with leaves of gold and red. Short, cute little cars honking in the streets, and bicycles wizzing past on the sidewalks. Zeno was smiling and laughing the whole time. A turn down a little alley way and we were in a killer shopping neighborhood.
All the young ladies here are wearing shorts with tall boots and flight jackets with furry collars.
There was a crazy arcade with all kinds of those claw games, like one where you could win "Stitch" (from Lilo and Stitch) wearing a Jack Skelington mask. They had these photo booths where you can customize your picture and background with all types off effects and bling-bling. Of course we did.
David and I had a mellow sushi dinner with Mr. Tsusaki, and went to bed early.
Today we are going to see Osaka Castle.
