Einstein robot update
Nov. 10th, 2005 08:21 amThe Hubo Einstein robot is freakin' amazing!
It is kinda weird, like Albert Einstein's head on a robot body, or Einstein wearing a spacesuit or something. His facial expressions are so warm and friendly.
They assembled the head onto the body in Korea over this past week, and are going through all the tests (and last minute animations) now. So I haven't seen the whole thing in person. :(
But the head looked really amazing. I had to go to Mac cosmetics and pick up a nice compact of power in his shade to dust him with for the cameras. Yes robots wear makeup too.
There is going to be this APEC summit in Korea on the 15th of November where this new creation will be unveiled. This means a lot of publicity for Hanson Robotics, and hopefully more robots will be commissioned.
As soon as the photos are released from 'confidential' status I will post them. He is so cute. Every kid in Korea will want a Hubo Einstein costume.
