Today is good.

After being a geoscience student for the past 4 years, I finally bought myself a nice rock hammer. It is beautiful.

It's about 18 inches long and is very well balanced. My favorite professor, Dr. Ignacio Pujana, pointed out that I could do some real damage with it.

I also got a nice loupe, and a field notebook. I am ready to go. Well just about. I need some non-ugly protective eyewear, then I will be ready to go.

I love my tools.

Today, I unfortunately had to turn down a wonderful opportunity to work with the hot-looking professor, Dr. Nathan Miller (if you ever want to take a geology course, take him just for the eye-candy). He asked for my artistic experience to help him put together a Snowball Earth presentation and display for the university. It would be in the spring, but that is when I will be having the baby.

Today, I also found out that the lunar regolith was analyzed at UTD. Cool, eh?
